County Zoning & Utility Scale Renewable Projects

Join Conservation Nebraska and Jeff Ray, a planning and zoning expert, for an in-depth session on effective zoning practices for renewable energy projects.

The session will examine best practices for developing zoning regulations that are grounded in a rational nexus; which ensures local requirements are directly connected to legitimate public health, safety, and welfare objectives. Attendees will also explore successful planning models from across the state and learn how well-crafted, legally defensible zoning can support both community goals and renewable energy development. There will be time for questions offering participants the opportunity to ask questions and discuss practical approaches to renewable energy zoning.
