Learn more about NDEE's Climate Action Plan

The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) has received a $3 million planning grant through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) Program funded through the Inflation Reduction Act. This program awarded funds to cooperating state and local governments to develop and implement climate action plans to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

In-person public meetings will take place across the state to consider greenhouse gas emission reduction measures. The meetings will include a short presentation about the CPRG, the measures suggested to NDEE and discussed in virtual workgroup sessions held earlier this winter, and the priority measures identified thus far.

NDEE is soliciting feedback from the public on the proposed measures for inclusion in the state’s Priority Climate Action Plan and Comprehensive Climate Action Plan.
