Our Water: Preventing Pollution

Join Conservation Nebraska as we hear from Senior Environmental Health Educator, Erin Kubicek, with the City of Lincoln, Anni Poetzl with the UNL Extension Office, and Soil Environmental Chemist Steve Comfort with UNL to discuss our water. Learn how our water becomes polluted, what we can do to prevent and reduce water pollution, and what to do once our water gets polluted.

Admission to the event is free. Registration is not required for in-person participants but online participants must register to receive the Zoom link.

Erin Kubicek, Senior Environmental Health Educator from the City of Lincoln will discuss urban homeowner strategies for stormwater runoff pollution prevention.

Anni Poetzl, Water Quality Extension Educator from the Extension Office, will discuss rural homeowner strategies and agricultural practices to reduce water pollution.

Steve Comfort, Soil Environmental Chemist and Professor from UNL, will discuss how to restore water quality in Nebraska ponds.
