Exploring Green Infrastructure
Join Conservation Nebraska for an event focused on green infrastructure — a sustainable approach to managing water, enhancing biodiversity, and improving the livability of our communities.
We are honored to feature two of Nebraska’s leading voices in landscape sustainability and ecological design:
Dr. Richard Sutton – Professor Emeritus at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Dr. Sutton is nationally recognized for his pioneering work on green roofs, native grass integration, and urban ecology. His research bridges horticulture and landscape architecture, and he's passionate about creating plant-driven solutions to environmental challenges.
Prof. Steve Rodie – Professor Emeritus at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Prof. Rodie brings decades of experience in sustainable landscape design, community engagement, and environmental education. He’s a leader in promoting nature-based solutions that enhance both ecosystems and human well-being.
Together, they’ll explore how green infrastructure—from rain gardens to green roofs—can transform our communities into more resilient, beautiful, and functional places.
