The Columbus Powerhouse is one of Nebraska’s largest hydroelectric generating plants and the pulse of the Loup River Public Power District hydroelectric system. The system was financed in 1933 by a $7.3 million New Deal Public Works Administration. It’s a significant part of Nebraska’s hydroelectric system, harnessing the energy of flowing water to generate electricity.
Superintendent Brad Morton will tell us about the history of the Powerhouse and lead a tour of the facility. Register early as tour size is limited. https://secure.everyaction.com/8YG2AueojkiAkSXTcAM98w2
