Nature and Mental Health

Join Conservation Nebraska as we hear from Julia Torquati, Ph.D. – UNL Child, Youth and Family Studies who will share her knowledge and expertise about how nature impacts our mental health and mood.

Spending time in nature, or even viewing scenes of nature reduces anger, fear and stress and increases pleasant feelings. Exposure to nature not only makes us feel better emotionally, it also contributes to our physical well being.
