Testing the Water: Managing Water Quality in Agricultural Landscapes

Join Conservation Nebraska and Dr. Daniel Snow from the Nebraska Water Center for an engaging presentation. This presentation will introduce crop production and development of irrigation in Nebraska followed with the effect of agricultural intensification to groundwater and drinking water quality in the U.S. Dr. Snow will conclude with the role and benefits of using participatory science to better understand these effects to domestic well water quality.

Dr. Daniel D. Snow is a Research Professor in Natural Resources, and Director of the Water Sciences Laboratory, a part of the Nebraska Water Center and Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute at the University of Nebraska. Over the past 35+ years, his research interests and experience have focused on studying the environmental fate of geogenic, emerging, legacy, and agricultural contaminants. He directs staff and students in the development of advanced methods using mass spectrometry to better understand, use, and protect water resources.
