 in the past. Dr. Burk is a Professor of Biology at Creighton University. D
 r. Burk earned his B.A. in Biology from the University of Kansas in 1974 a
 nd later studied at New College\, University of Oxford. After a postdoctor
 al fellowship at the University of Florida\, he joined Creighton Universit
 y's Biology Department in 1982 and became a professor in 1996. His researc
 h focuses on behavior and conservation biology\, especially of insects. He
  has authored 30 papers and book chapters and co-authored Biology of Anima
 l Behavior. He is also deeply involved in citizen science projects that en
 gage the public in conservation research.
