 ity of Norfolk\, Nebraska\, bringing more than 22 years of leadership expe
 rience in public parks and natural resource management. His career include
 s serving as a camp director\, an eastern region manager with Montana Stat
 e Parks\, and Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Mitchell\, Sou
 th Dakota. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Parks and Recreation Mana
 gement from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Science in Parks a
 nd Recreation Administration from California State University–Sacramento. 
 He is a Certified Parks and Recreation Executive (CPRE). Throughout his ca
 reer\, Nathan has focused on projects that strengthen communities while en
 hancing natural systems — including river and lake restoration\, trail con
 nectivity\, and outdoor recreation development. In Norfolk\, he helped ove
 rsee the implementation of a collaborative river restoration project that 
 replaced an aging spillway with engineered whitewater features. The effort
  restored natural flow and improved habitat\, water quality\, fish passage
 \, and public access. He remains committed to advancing parks and recreati
 on as a catalyst for environmental stewardship\, healthy communities\, and
  sustainable growth across Nebraska.
