 volunteer event at Creighton Preparatory School’s rain garden\, located on
  Western Avenue just west of 72nd Street. Rain gardens are a beautiful and
  cost-effective way to manage outdoor spaces that experience high levels o
 f soil saturation or water pooling. They help reduce runoff\, filter out p
 ollutants\, and provide food and shelter for wildlife.\n\nVolunteer tasks 
 will consist of pulling smaller weeds by hand\, digging out larger weeds\,
  and other general garden maintenance tasks. While we will have a limited 
 supply of gloves and garden tools available\, we encourage you to bring yo
 ur own gloves or favorite trowel if you prefer. Water and light snacks wil
 l be provided.\nIn the event of inclement weather\, this event will be can
