X-WR-CALDESC:Join Conservation Nebraska for a presentation from Dr. Tim Dic
kson\, who will be discussing the importance of rangeland for milkweed and
monarch butterfly conservation. \n\nAlmost half of Nebraska is rangeland
and about one third of the continental USA is rangeland\, yet rangeland ha
s received little attention in regard to monarch butterfly conservation. M
onarch caterpillars require milkweed hosts\, and it has generally been ass
umed that large grazers such as cattle and bison will not eat milkweed. Ho
wever\, we have found that large grazers eat milkweeds at approximately th
 e same rate as grasses in Nebraska\, Iowa\, Missouri\, and Kansas. \n\nJoi
n us for an insightful presentation and learn more about this important to
pic! \n\nJoining in-person? We will see you at the Barbara Weitz Community
Engagement Center\, in Room 118. Guest parking will be available in the l
ot in front of the building (by the clocktower!)\n\nJoining virtually? Reg
