‘Cowspiracy’ Short Screening & Discussion on Sustainable Food Practices with Pepe Fierro

November 1, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Nebraska Conservation Educational Fund is holding an event on sustainable food practices on Thursday, November 1st at Pepe’s Bistro (1311 S 11th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508) from 6-7:30 pm. At this event, there will be a short screening of ‘Cowspiracy,’ a documentary examining US food systems through an ecocritical lens. Following the screening there will be a Q & A session and discussion on sustainable food practices with Pepe Fierro, local restaurant owner passionate about locally sourcing food and sustainable living. Pepe will be preparing vegetarian and vegan options available for cash purchase at the event. Attendees will be provided with resources and tips on how to eat more sustainably here in Lincoln, Nebraska.
