Clean Energy in Nebraska: Solar
April 30 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Join Conservation Nebraska and guest speaker Max Markuson DiPrince, as he discusses the concepts of modern solar technology research and development.
Markuson DiPrince’s research at Creighton University Department of Physics focuses on a specific type of solar cell, called a Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC), which offers a more sustainable alternative to the conventional silicon crystal solar cell in today’s markets. By utilizing more earth-abundant, organic materials, such as simple sugars, he is attempting to convert UV light to a more “usable” visible spectra to boost his device efficiency.
