AmeriCorps Common Ground Program
Conservation Nebraska was awarded an AmeriCorps grant in September 2017 to expand its Common Ground Program. We hired ten AmeriCorps members, who served as community organizers. Through the utilization of AmeriCorps members, Conservation Nebraska took Common Ground state-wide, expanding our geographic reach from 5 to 25 communities.
Thanks to AmeriCorps, we were able to continue to grow the Common Program between 2018 and 2020. We currently host 25 AmeriCorps members across the state and are engaging thousands of Nebraskans in conservation-focused programs.
